Ragi / finger millet is rich in calcium and protein. You have already seen how to prepare ragi roti and ragi juice. Today I am sharing the recipe of Ragi porridge / ganji, which helpful for people who are on semi-solid diet.
Ingredients
Finger millet - 1/4 cup
Water - 4 cups
Jaggery powder - 3 to 4 spoons
Salt to taste
Method
Wash and soak the finger millet for about 3 to 4 hours. Grind the same along with 1/2 cup water into fine paste. Transfer the contents on to a steel vessel. Add 3.5 cups water, jaggery powder, salt and mix well.
Boil the same on stove till it becomes semi solid. You can serve this hot or cold.
Note:- You can also sprout the ragi before you grind to enhance the nutrition.
