
Halim seeds also known as Alvi seeds, Garden cress seeds is a very rich source of vitamin K, a fat-soluble vitamin involved in bone formation, breakdown, and nutrient absorption. In particular, the bone protein osteocalcin relies on this vitamin to increase bone formation and strength (Source : Healthline).
Halim seeds can be easily cooked as payasa (with or without milk) and as laddu too.

Ingredients
Jaggery powder - 3 spoons
Cardamom powder - 1 pinch
Ghee - 1/4 spoon
Method
Soak 2 spoons of halim seeds in a cup of water in a bowl. Keep it aside for an hour.
Heat 3 cups of water, add jaggery. After jaggery dissolves and water gets to boiling, add soaked halim seeds. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes. Switch off the stove.
Add cardamom powder and ghee. Mix well and serve hot.
It can also prepared using milk and sugar. Replace water by milk and jaggery by sugar in the above method.
