Potato and banana chips are quite common. What interested me most was this Arbi chips when I had this in my friend Henette's house as part of Monthi festival special lunch 2 years ago. I loved these chips. Since then, I have been cooking for different occasions at home.
Moreover, Arbi chips is so easy to prepare too.
Ingredients
Arbi - 1/4 kg
Oil - 1/4 liter
Salt - 1/4 spoon
Chilli powder - 1/4 spoon
Method
Finely wash Arbi so that all mud gets cleaned properly. Remove the skin using a peeler. Wash once again and dry it using a cloth.
Chop the Arbi into medium sized thin slices.
Heat oil in a pan. Once oil gets heated up, add Arbi slices and cook in medium flame. It takes about 3 to 4 minutes to cook and become crisp.
Meantime, mix salt and chilli powder.
Remove the chips from the oil and transfer them to a wide bowl. Add chilli powder, salt mix, then toss the bowl gently so that chilli & salt mixes well with the chips.
Store it in an airtight container.
