Banana Idli / Balehannu Idli

Banana Idli is a very easy-to-prepare breakfast item. Recipe courtesy - Shantaram Siddheshwar, my father-in-law.

Ingredients

Banana - 10
Bansi rava - 1 cup
Jaggery powder - 1 cup
Grated coconut - 3 to 5 spoons 
Cardamom powder - 1/4 spoon
Salt to taste

Method

You can use banana robusta (Pacchabale). If you are using smaller ones, you can increase the quantity to 15. 

Remove the skin of the banana and mash it to prepare banana pulp. Add all other listed ingredients, mix well and keep it overnight. Transfer the contents into idli maker. Steam cook for about 15 minutes. 

Serve hot with ghee.
