Jackfruit seeds - 40 to 50
Jaggery - 1 Cup
Ghee - 2 to 3 spoons
Cardamom Powder - 1/4 spoon
Salt - 1/4 spoon
Method
Remove the cover of the jackfruit seeds. Through away the spoiled ones (if it has turned blackish, please discard). Wash and soak the same in water for about 2-3 hours. Discard the water and pressure cook the same in fresh water.
Strain the water (you can use that to prepare chapati Dough or add to Dosa batter) and grind the seeds without adding water into course paste.
Heat a thick bottomed Kadai. Add 1 cup of jaggery and allow it to melt down. If Jaggery is too dry, add 2 spoons of water. Once jaggery melts and turns into syrup, add jackfruit seeds paste, salt, cardamom powder, mix well and cook for about 3-4 minutes. Allow it to cool down slightly.
Make small balls using above mixture and press it gently to make it into circular shape (Lets call this Budna).
Heat a thick iron tawa. Apply ghee and place the Budna on the tawa and cook both the sides.
You can serve this as a evening snack or as a dessert.
