Here is a simple and humble mango and jackfruit Gojju recipe. Thanks to my cousin, Rekha for sharing this age old recipe Mango gojju recipe. I loved the taste of it and tried the same with jackfruit. Loved both. Sharing here for you all to try.
Note:- If you have small mangoes which are bit sour and sweet, it tastes even
more good. You can use this for a week...
Mango Gojju | Jackfruit Gojju |
Mango - 1 kg | Jackfruit - 8 to 10 pieces |
Green chillies - 8 to 10 | Green chillies - 8 to 10 |
Oil - 2 spoons | Oil - 2 spoons |
Salt to taste | Salt to tastea |
Method
Mango Gojju | Jackfruit Gojju |
1.Wash and remove the skin of the mangoes. 2.Cut it into pieces and separate out the nut. 3. Grind the mangoes into fine paste. 4. Grind the green chillies seperately into paste. 5. Heat a thick bottomed Kadai, add oil, green chilly paste and ground mangoes, salt to taste. 6. Cook in low flame by keep on stirring frequently for about 30 minutes. | 1.Chop the jackfruit into small pieces. 3. Grind the chopped jackfruit into fine paste. 4. Grind the green chillies seperately into paste. 5. Heat a thick bottomed Kadai, add oil, green chilly paste and ground jackfruit, salt to taste. 6. We can serve this with Chapati, Dosa etc.
