Paneer Butter Masala



Here is the restaurant like tasting paneer butter masala recipe. I have cooked this dish many times and shared with my friends and family. They all loved it. Please try and share your comments.

Ingredients
Onion - 3 medium sized
Tomato - 3 medium sized
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garlic – 5 cloves
Cardamom – 2
Chilli powder – 1 tea spoon
Coriander powder – ½ tea spoon
Garam masala powder – ¼ tea spoon
Turmeric powder - little (as shown in photo)
Kasuri Methi – 2 spoons
Cashew – 5 to 6
Butter – 2 spoons
Oil – 2 spoons
Paneer – ¼ kg
Sugar - 1 spoon

Method

Chop onion, ginger, tomato into fine pieces. Remove the outer layer of garlic. 
Keep rest of the ingredients handy so that you can cook without burning while cooking (to avoid wasting time searching ingredients too).

Chop the paneer into small cubes.

Heat the kadai and add the oil. Now add clove, cardomom and saute. Add onion, ginger, garlic and saute. Add salt, chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder, turmeric powder and saute. Add kasuri methi, tomato, Cashew and saute. Allow it to cool for about 10 minutes. Now grind this into masala by adding some water. 

Heat a thick bottomed kadai add butter. When butter melts, add ground masala and chopped paneer pieces, salt and sugar and cook for about 10 mins.
