Saunf leaves chutney / fennel leaves chutney



Saunf leaves are very easy to grow green leafy vegetable. It is lesser known vegetable I believe. We can grow in the pot too and can take out the produce in about 3 to 4 weeks. These leaves can help prevent cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

Here is the recipe of very easy to cook saunf leaves chutney.

Ingredients 

Saunf leaves - 1 medium sized bunch
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Green chillies - 3 to 4
Tamarind - 1 small piece
Oil - 1 spoon
Salt to taste

Method

Finely wash and chop the saunf leaves. Heat a kadai, add oil. When oil gets heated up, add green chillies. Cook for 10 seconds. Now add chopped saunf leaves and roast for around 2 minutes. Switch off the stove and allow it to cool down.

Grind these roasted leaves along with grated coconut, tamarind and salt using a mixer grinder. Transfer the contents on to a vessel. 

Yummy, flavored chutney is ready to serve.
