Time it takes depends on the quantity you cook too though. I prefer cooking little large quantifies and distributing to neighbors and relatives when I cook such yummy stuff.
Ingredients
Ripe Nendran banana pulp - 8 cups
Sugar - 4 cups
Ghee - 2 cups
Sugar - 4 cups
Ghee - 2 cups
Method
Use ripe nendran banana. Peel off the skin. Chop into small pieces and grind them using mixer grinder without adding water.
Heat a thick bottomed kadai. Add nendran banana pulp and sugar. Mix well. Keep on stirring for about 15 minutes. Then start adding ghee every 5 to 7 minutes and continue to cook by keeping on stirring.
Meanwhile apply the ghee on two plates and keep it ready
It takes about one hour to get properly cooked. Color turns brown and contents starts not sticking to the bottom of the vessel. Switch off the flame and transfer the contents on to the ghee applied plate. Allow it to cool down.
Cut into square / diamond pieces.
Since it has been cooked very well, it can stay for more than a week without refrigerating.
