Pineapple Jam / Ananas Jam



Here is the simple recipe of pineapple jam. Recipe courtesy - Gana Sid.

Ingredients

Pineapple - 1 large
Sugar - 2 cups

Method

Wash and remove the skin of pineapples. Remove inner hard portion too and chop into medium pieces. Transfer the chopped pineapples into a mixer grinder and grind without adding water. Ensure no pieces remain.

Transfer 2 cups of sugar onto a vessel. Add 1/2 cup of water. Keep this on a stove and switch on the stove. Let sugar dissolve.

Now add ground pineapple on to sugar syrup and keep on stirring in high flame. Cook until very thin thread forms. It takes about 30 minutes to cook. Switch off the flame and allow it to cool. Yummy pineapple jam is ready to serve with chapathi, Dosa, bread etc.

Note:- Jam looks think consistency and gradually it becomes think while it cools down.
