Vitamin leaves tambuli / Chakramuni soppina tambuli


Vitamin leaves (ಚಕ್ರಮುನಿ ಸೊಪ್ಪು (Chakramuni soppu) in Kannada) are as the name suggest contains multi vitamins - A, B, C & K. You may not find these leaves in the market. But its pretty easy to grow (can grow in the pots too). You can try planting one.

Ingredients

Vitamin leaves - 1 bunch 

Grated coconut - 6 to 7 spoons

Green chillies - 4 to 5

Cumin seeds - 2 spoons

Butter - 2 spoons

Curd / butter milk - 2 cups

Salt to taste


Method

From the vitamin plant branches, separate out the leaves alone. 

Finely wash the leaves. Heat a thick bottomed Kadai. Add butter, cumin seeds and green chillies. After 20 seconds, add washed vitamin leaves and roast it for about 2 to 3 minutes. Allow it to cool down.

Grind the same into fine liquid along with grated coconut and salt by adding butter milk.
